Can Paixano, best known as La Xampanyeria is a traditional bar, in the heart of the Barceloneta neighbourhood, famous for its cava – a typical Catalonian sweet sparkling wine – which is best enjoyed with a side of tapas and bocadillos (sandwiches). La Xampanyeria is a quite popular bar among travellers and locals, so it is continuously packed. Stand wherever you can find space, and don't be afraid to gently push your way through the crowd to place your order.
